I’m Annie Jadin (pen name), aspiring something-or-other. Rape is a major theme on this blog. I decided to create a place separate from my real life to compartmentalize that. I might write about other things too, sometimes. Most of what I write on this blog is poetry. I’m trying to challenge myself with more regular creativity through blogging and also use this as a place to somewhat constructively process my darker moments.

Off the blog, I hold a PhD in the life sciences in the not-so-great U.S. of A. I’m currently a postdoctoral researcher. Mostly I get to bang my head against math-y and code-y things a lot and sometimes write science papers. The best part of my job/field is that I get to spend a lot of time exploring amazing outdoor places, and call it work.
